Last August 19, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, Melecia Village Homeowners Association held their Thanksgiving Activity as PASASALAMAT after five (5) years of hardship, perseverance, and cooperation; their project was at last taken out on August 4, 2021.
Melecia Village HOA officers invited all their members, stakeholders, CMP-Mobilizer (KPS Foundation) represented by Arlene B. Panizales & Gelsa Pocdol; landowner, Ann Christene Samijon-Dellima; the Social Housing Finance Corporation represented by Ms. Juana Leonora G. Melodias, head Region XII operation; City LGU represented by Hon. Lulu Casabuena; City Housing & Land Management Office represented by Mr. Joel Cimafranca; Barangay Captain, Hon. Arthur Ryan Dupalco; and Purok President to witness their long-awaited final step in acquiring their own home lots.
The activity started at 2:00 o’clock with an opening prayer led by Sabina Partulan followed by the Welcome Address by Ms. Ann Sabado, the HOA President. Hon. Barangay Captain Dupalco gave his heartfelt message of support through interventions the Barangay LGU of Calumpang has initiated for the development of the community.
In his short message, Mr. Joel Cimafranca from the City Housing and Land Management Office also stressed that the Gensan City Local Government Unit (LGU) is also proud to say that Melecia Village HOA is one of the beneficiaries of the PAILAW ni Mayor Program, and as such is considered by the Office of the Mayor as a valuable partner in the delivery of basic services to the urban poor community.
Some words of encouragement were also given by the landowner, who stressed that the CMP Project beneficiaries should highly value their investment in acquiring a piece of land by religiously paying their loan obligation to the Social Housing Finance Corporation so that their acquired asset will not be foreclosed.
Melecia Village HOA availed financing scheme of more or less Php 4,727,500.00 via Community Mortgage Program from Social Housing Finance Corporation payable in 25 years. Since the project has already been taken out, meaning, the landowner is now fully paid thru the loan from SHFC, the next step will be the transfer of title from the landowner to the HOA.
