On June 12, 2024, a solemn Oath Taking Ceremony was held for the newly elected officers of the Yusa Village Homeowners Association. Coinciding with the Philippines’ Independence Day celebration, the event was graced by distinguished guests, including Ms. Arlene B. Panizales, KPSFI Finance Director; Mr. Rodolfo P. Dewara, Corporate Secretary; and Hon. City Councilor Richard Atendido, the inducting officer.
To begin the ceremony, Ms. Maria Sony Gullim, the HOA Secretary, warmly welcomed all attendees, setting a cheerful and affectionate tone. Following this, Hon. Richard Atendido delivered an inspiring congratulatory message to the newly elected officials, encouraging them to fulfill their duties with dedication.
In a show of support, the Local Government Unit of General Santos City expressed its unwavering commitment to community development in Yusa Village. As a result, the LGU has plans to build a gymnasium in the village early this year. Hon. Atendido also encouraged homeowners to actively participate in HOA activities and support the officers in transforming Yusa Village into a well-equipped and empowered community.
In addition to the LGU’s support, Ms. Arlene Panizales, the Finance Director of KPS Foundation Inc., extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected HOA officers and reaffirmed KPSFI’s unwavering support for Yusa Village. She noted that Yusa Village, established in 1998, had nearly 25 years of resilience and community spirit. Furthermore, the residents had already received their individual land titles, and the KPS office remained open to address any inquiries or concerns.
Ms. Panizales emphasized the importance of unity and active participation among HOA officers and members. She encouraged everyone to contribute to making Yusa Village a prosperous and sustainable community.
The oath-taking ceremony marked the official induction of the newly elected homeowners association officers, symbolizing their formal assumption of power and their solemn commitment to uphold the principles of service and faithfully fulfill their entrusted duties.
Yusa Village is a testament to the success of KPS Foundation’s self-help and socialized housing initiatives, implemented through the LANDS program. The program provides raw land to member-beneficiaries and collaborates with local government units for site development.
The Yusa Village Homeowners Association, registered with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), has gained recognition from government agencies, opening doors for additional projects and site development initiatives.
One such project is the Yusa Village Rural Waterworks Sanitation Association Inc., a thriving initiative facilitated by the HOA. This project underscores the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and residents. By building strong partnerships, HOAs can access more resources, expertise, and support for their initiatives.
Yusa Village HOAs play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for their residents. By leveraging their collective bargaining power, HOAs can protect the interests of homeowners and contribute to maintaining a desirable living environment.
The elected officers and board for the Yusa Village are as follows: Radgen Q. Elorpe (President), Elizabeth D. Galan (Vice President), Ma. Siony P. Gullim (Secretary), Diamond K.
